Ezz Steel

The Middle East Steel Professionals

Ezz Steel is the largest steel producer in the Middle East, the biggest employer in Egypt and one of the fastest-growing, most technically advanced in the world.

They operate purpose-built steel plants across Egypt, with a production capacity of 7 million tons of long and flat steel products per year.

With our extensive experience in steel and manufacturing, Ezz Steel initially chose to work with us back in 2007, following an unexpected phone call from Cairo. Initially, we were tasked with producing brochures for long and flat products; however, as trust grew, they invited us to undertake a major rebranding to position them as a leading global steelmaker.

The iconic logo speaks for itself: a molten steel letter ‘e’ set against modern, clean, bespoke typography, designed to work in both English and Arabic. This established a limited color palette of hot yellows, oranges, and reds, complemented by cool metallic greys and black for contrast. The industrial font DIN Pro was chosen for its clean lines and ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

A challenging photoshoot at their steel plants in soaring temperatures followed, resulting in an incredible portfolio of abstract images showcasing steel production, created in collaboration with Sheffield-based photographer David Short.

Our relationship with Ledgard Jepson has been extremely beneficial for our business. They enhanced our corporate image as a quality producer in global markets through a highly effective and creative rebranding. We are particularly impressed with their strategic contributions to our marketing, and they remain a vital partner in our growth plans.

GEORGE MATTA, MARKETING DIRECTOR

Our long-term relationship with Ezz Steel has led us to redesign their corporate literature on four occasions, handling the full scope of design and production, including copywriting and print management with high-quality UK printers. We have also redeveloped their website three times, with the latest multi-lingual version live in November 2024.
